Getting a head start on Christmas with Winter woods and Dashing Deer

Hi guys! At my last class we got a head start on Christmas by making a few cards. My favorite was this one:

First I stamped the line of trees in the background using the trees from Waterfront in Smoky Slate and stamped off for the back row of trees. Then I used the Softly Falling embossing folder with some vellum cardstock to overlay the background. I stamped the tree from the Winter Woods stamps in Old Olive then used the In the Woods framelits to cut out the tree. I used the mini dimensionals between the two layers of the tree and regular dimensionals on the bottom layer of the tree. I stamped the deer in Soft Suede using the Dashing Deer stamp set and cut it out with the Detailed Deer thinlits. The sentiments is from the Star of Light stamp set and was stamped in Night of Navy then popped up with dimensionals.

This card was so much fun to make and love the way it turned out. I will definitely use the same background on other projects in the future because I just really love the way it turned out.

Until next time....

Sea of Textures

I can't believe I haven't been able to update you in a while. The last few weeks have been so busy! My oldest daughter left for Thailand in mid August and let's just say this Mama is missing her terribly. As a small going away gift for her I made her this great little gift box using the Sea of Textures bundle. I put some small travel items in the gift box for her; things like mints, Tylenol, wipes, and emergen-c packets. Of course, I wanted to stuff myself in there too!

Then, of course, school started for my younger children. And my class started at the end of August.

In other news, it is now time to use all those bonus days coupons you earned last month. You can redeem codes through September 30th.

Happy crafting!
